I Saw the Road After a Long Time

But, looking back, it was also closed. I walked a long way, looked around and moved on. The light on the road faded as I proceeded. Not scared but scared. I started walking fast.

I dive into my thoughts.
I was surprised to see it on the street two months later,
because I’m the only one on the road. I felt in a great Silence, but there was no shortage of vehicles. The weather was rainy. I picked up an umbrella and started to walk forward. Going forward I saw large shops closed and guards sitting near the shop.

‘Hmm…everything closed’. I was still moving forward. After a while, my body went numb by cold wind. I saw the police station next to me. Even the half torn Vesak lanterns at the police station made me laugh. The reason is that it has been a month since the Vesak festival. It’s still hanging.
I went more forward eagerly. At the bus stop, where I used to wait for bus after class, I saw deserted cemetery without presence of anyone. I was walking alone on a road with no lights.

That’s when Sandy came to my mind. “It would be nice if she was with me this time” But it’s over. As I entered the post office street I saw scenes I had before. I remembered that a friend of mine had a shop on this road. But, looking back, it was also closed. I walked a long way, looked around and moved on. The light on the road faded as I proceeded. Not scared but scared. I started walking fast. I missed my uncle a lot on a man less road. While animals wandered during travel restrictions, people died inside their house getting bored.

Five minutes later, when I looked back it was covered almost little distance. I saw someone hanging a bag. Even it was usual I wondered.

At last,
I found my house. I was too tired to step another feet. But I walked. When I reached at home I took a wash and I picked up a pen from the pen holder to write what I see and experienced today's long and terrifying morning.
