Sheikh Abdullatif Saeed Fouda was one of the leaders who upheld the ideas of Ahlu Sunnah and played a major role in introducing them before the world. He was one of the foremost contemporary Muslim scholars who objectively defended the allegations against Islam. Sheikh Fouda studied electrical engineering and later became active in Islamic teachings. It is noteworthy that he possessed profound scholarship in the fields of theology, logic, and intellectual science, and delved into the depths of the Shari'ah, and dealt with subjects based on the unique values of religion. He followed the Shafi'i school of thought in the field of karma, followed the Ash'ari school of faith, and later became its propagandist. Sheikh Fouda's great contributions to the teachings of Ahlu Sunnah earned him the title of 'Saifu Ahl al-Sunnah' (the Warrior of Ahlu Sunnah). He is also known as 'Abul Fida'.

The family of Sheikh Fouda, who lived in the ancient Palestinian city of Yafa, migrated to Jordan during the Israeli occupation. He was born in 1967 in Jordan. From a young age, he had a great admiration and passion for knowledge and its carriers. Prior to entering formal education, he had received religious insights from prominent Gurus in Jordan. He studied fiqh holy books from Sheik Hussain Al Zuuhaii. He byhearted the Holy Qur'an completely under the tutelage of his son Ibn Zuhair. It was during this period of study that he mastered the laws of grammar and Fiqh.

Study

Sheikh Fouda completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown of Raswifa, an ancient city in Jordan. He was the adept of the seven Qira’th of the Holy Qur'an. He started studying theology from the side of Saeed Al Anbatawi. Realizing the proficiency of his disciple in Aqeedah, the Guru conducted special classes for him alone. By the age of fifteen, the Sheikh had acquired the holy books of Ilm Tawheed, Jauharu Tawheed, Qareedatul Bahiya, and Tuhfatul Atfal. Guru 'Kharida' said to him that he was curious during his studies. The Sarahaya (explanation) of the intellectual book, 'Sarahuddhareer', was proposed to be shortened (Mukhtasar). Sheikh completed it in a short period.

He later studied at the University of Science and Technology in Jordan, where he studied communication and electronics. His interest in theology came at a time when various allegations were being leveled against the scholars of Ahlu Sunnah. He then did his PG in Aqeedah from Sharia University in Jordan. He recalls that this period of study was a great help in paving the way for the field of preaching. He studied Tawheed, theology, and grammar, and later became a disciple of the famous Jordanian scholar Ahmad Jamal, who was instrumental in introducing the ideas of Ahlus Sunnah to the world. Later, he learned more about Tafseer and Nahw from Noah al-Khulat, the Jordanian Mufti.

He also received special permission (Ijazat) from Imam Allama Ibrahim to teach Tafseer, Hadith, and Tawheed. Regarding this, he says: "Reverend Allama Ibrahim, no one has given me consent (Ijazat) before me on these matters. Ijazat was given to me because it made clear my firm stand against Bid'ah. I visited him frequently in Jordan and shared my writings with him. " In addition, he was fluent in English and Italian languages. At the age of seventeen, he began teaching in churches and other educational institutions. He has lectured in Egypt, Malaysia, Turkey, and the Netherlands.

 Writing

He was also active in the field of writing and has authored over eighty books on various topics. Most of them were written in response to the criticisms leveled against Ahlus-Sunnah. Wahhabi Sulaiman al-Viji, a professor at King Saudi University, asked Imam Fahruddin Razi to write a book in response to the negative reactions against him. He completed that work quickly.

He has written on various subjects such as Mantwiq, Tawheed, and Aqeedah. His writings were able to logically refute the false propaganda of the Shia movements, as opposed to the misconceptions of Western philosophers. Al-Kashifu Swayr is a book that refutes the beliefs of the philosopher Ibn Rushd.

Sheikh Fouda's book 'Tadeemul Mantiq' is about those who oppose the early Muslim scholars of intellectual science. His book, Al Maisar, is by Sharah, who authored the famous book 'Assullamul Munawarikh' in Mantwiq. This work was one of the best in his writing career. He also wrote a number of works on theology (Aqeedah). For 'Kitabul Ikhtiswad fil Itiqad' of  Imam Ghazali (may Allah be pleased with him) he wrote a commend entitled 'Maukhiful Imam Ghassali Min Ilmil Kalam'. Apart from this, he has performed Tahqiq for many important books. He has performed Tahqiq for 'Misbahul Arwah' of Imam Bailawi (RA). In addition, he has written articles and researches on several topics.

He has prepared a project work on how believers and philosophers view God. He also has many unpublished works in these fields. Sheikh Fouda introduces Ahlus Sunnah to the world, saying, "Our ideology of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa 'stands on the three pillars of Fiqh, Tasawwuf, and Tawheed, if a damage had occurred on it, Islam will collide". Sheikh Abdul Latif Saeed Fouda is a person who lives in the contemporary era who has left his signature in all spheres.
