Behavioural Qualities of Prophet

The Prophet [s] entrusted and ordained to guide people when the ignorant and idolaters appeared and deviation were dominant, Allah sent Prophet Muhammad[s] with light shining in his heart. He had a revelation of a book that would heal hearts.

“O mankind, advice and remedy for the troubles in your hearts have come from your lord”.

While the people had conformed to things with no essence, he was sent to guide them with truth on the shining path. He guide and advice Umma with his words and actions, he explained to them the roads that are forbidden and permitted. Thus he successfully completed his apostleship in a short time. Prophet Muhammad(S) the one man single-handedly, could weld warring tribes and Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades.

In the time of propagation, he faced poignant fatalities, but his persistence and vigour were indomitable as his detractors failed while he took forth with his responsibility. He encouraged people to come to the straight righteous path of Islam. People were embraced Islam enticing the characteristics and idiosyncrasy of Muhammad Rasoolullah. His exemplary behaviour was fair as his physical appearance which makes him an astounding calibre. Ayisha(r) says:

‘His manner was the manners of Quran’. People came to him attracting his behavioural qualities. He conquered hearts, not the world. He forgave sinners who made harm to him. Even to Hind, wife of Abu Sufyan who ambushed Hamza[r], uncle of prophet, by her slave in the battlefield of Badr. He proclaimed amnesty to idolaters and non-believers who once exiled him and his followers from their motherland nothing other than they embraced Islam. He was the mercy and he expressed benevolence to people without reckoning who they are. He never took repentance from anyone for they disturbed him before. Quran states…

“O, Muhammed that we have not sent thee, but a mercy to the whole of humankind, as a mercy to the entire world”.

His enemies, non-believers and detractors praised his characteristics, personality, physical appearance and behavioural qualities while they kept away from Islam. Mecca was a city of people where everyone from men to women, From the young to the old was preoccupied with poetry. They used to compose poems of praise on different occasions for the prophet Muhammed[s] whose supreme attributes, exemplary morals, unique virtues and pure ancestry were accepted by everyone from enemies to friends. But they did not accept the straight path and embrace Islam because of their jealousy. As the Abu Jahal rebel leader and a staunch enemy of Islam said one day to prophet[s] “I don’t think that you are a liar but I do not get interested in your religion.

Hassan bin Sabith (r) praises the handsome and fairness of the prophet as he was worn by the prophet the mantle on the back which was called Burdha. He explained and praised the prophet (s) who adorned the most and excellent virtues and qualities.

I haven`t seen a lovely personality like you.

And no mother has given birth to such a wonderful personality.

You are created free from every fault.

You were created, as you wanted to be.

Prophet(s) was good in character, behaviour, personality, virtue, and morals.

As Abu Huraira(r) quotes on his fairness

“I have never seen anyone more handsome than the messenger of Allah it was as the sun was shining upon his face and when he laughed it reflected from the wall.”

Prophet Muhammad (s) had a striking physical appearance, handsome fairness and beauty.

Ummu Ma`abbad (r) described the physical appearance, handsome and fairness of Rasool. I saw a man of striking appearance ظَاهِر الْوَضَاءَةِ اَبْلَجَ الْوَجْه Radiant face حُسْنُ الْخُلْقِ  Beautifully created لَمْ تَعِبْهُ ثُجْلَة his belly wasn`t protruding وَلَمْ تَزَرْبِهِ صَعْلَةً   Nor was his head disproportionate and small وَسِيمٌ قَسِيمٌ Proportionate and delicate, finely made, a specimen of a creationفِي عَيْنَيْهِ دَعَجٌ in his eyes there was a contrast. The dark was immensely dark, the white was excessively white And his eyes lashes were long And his voice was a natural echo And his neck was elegantly long His beard was tall and thick اَحْوَرُ اَكْحَلُ  His eyes brows were arched, but they were not jointed, it was separated His hair was immensely black and dark.  Ø§ÙØ¯ÙŽØ§ØµÙŽÙ… When he was silent, dignity covered him And when he spoke it was audible and clear almost commanding and overtaking From afar, the most striking and outstanding in appearance And when he came near, the best of them and most handsome of them and in closenessحُلُوُ الْمَنْطِقِ   So such an exalted and sweet level of logic like when he used to speak it was so coherently logical. It was smooth and easy to understandفَصْلٌ لاَنَزْرٌ وَلَاحَذْرٌ    He was to the point, not excessive nor too shortكَاَنَّ مَنْطِقَهُ خَرَزَاتُ نَظْمِ يَنْحِذِرْنَ his logic, his utterance, his words were like jewels coming out of a necklace, calculated, polished one after the other. It would flow magically رَبْعَةٌHe was medium in height, your eye didn’t have to strike to look up at him nor was it tedious to look down at him. He was a comfortable sight to look out… He had friends, the people that were with him. They were working around him to try to serve and protect him When he used to say something they used to harken to what he used to say When commanded they used to compete to fulfil the command.

Anas bin Malik says I came out one night. It was full moonlight and I looked at the moon in the desert understanding the moon is an awesome sight. It is smooth. It is radiant. It is clear. It is gentle compares to the scorching sun that they used to. So the moon was the epitome of beauty. So he says I came out in the full moonlight and I looked at the moon and I saw it is beautiful and handsome. So I said, “Let me go see if the moon is more handsome or my prophet is more handsome. Let me go see that moon is more beautiful or the prophet is more beautiful. So I went and I saw him standing afar so I looked at his face and looked at the moon, so I looked at his face and looked at the moon, and he says Wallahi he was more handsome than the moon that the moon in its entirety. That is just the look of Rasool the messenger of God.

Ayisha[r] says

I was sewing with my needle. My needle dropped in the dark. I couldn’t find it. It was just then that Rasoolullah came, From the light emanating from the prophet’s face, I was able to see the needle.

Prophet[s] was mind-bogglingly handsome. But his handsome was covered with dignity, majesty and reverence وقاروالجلال والهيبة. That was he never faced which faced Yusuf [a]. When people wanted to look up, shyness used to overtake you. so they used to look down. It was difficult to penetrate by the awe and splendour of Rasool.               Amr bin A's says I sat with Rasool many times. But if you ask me to describe his face, I can’t describe it, wouldn’t be able to keep to look up to him out of his majesty and reverence اجلالا وتعظيما   Jabir [r] says I saw once the messenger of Allah on the night of the full moon, on that night he wore red striped clothing. At times I looked at the full moon and at times at the messenger of Allah. Ultimately I came to the conclusion that the messenger of Allah was more handsome, beautiful and more radiant than the full moon.

Nature too loves prophet[s], plants were used to cast salaam on him. The Prophet[s] would lean on a branch from a date tree. When the followers increased in the masjid, they made a pulpit because everyone couldn’t see his saintly face when Rasool mounted on the pulpit. The date branch began to moan because of separation from Muhammed Rasool. Finally, when the prophet descended from the pulpit put his hand on the wailing wood, it became quiet. The prophet was dearest to Allah, the God, and Almighty. God created this universe for the sake of Rasool. He expressed his love for the prophet through a journey to him, Mi’raj.

Quran states

“Glory to Allah, who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the sacred mosque to the farthest mosque, whose precincts We did bless, in order that we might show him our signs”. The firmament was full from one end to another with angels who wanted to see him. The Mi’raj showed blessings of Allah to his beloved servant and envoy, favours, good news and spiritual gifts, he showed him some scenes regarding the conditions of the afterlife in order to inform Umma, the Muslims.

The Prophet[s] was the charismatic personality, the exemplary human being, the world ever seen. The whole subjects which abode on earth loved prophet[s]. For that, when his demise, wafath happened, followers became insane. Umar bin Khattab had refused to believe that Allah could have allowed Muhammed[s] to die, sure thought Allah will raise him up. But the man who became the successor of prophet[s] caliph, Aboo Bakkar [r] killed the hysteria, with one of the noblest speeches in religious history. “Muhammed[s] was a man, he was perhaps the greatest man ever to have lived, but he was a man nonetheless. Not Allah, but a man like you and me. If there any among you who worshipped Muhammed[s]he has died. But it is God you worshipped, He lives forever.”

Understanding the prophet Muhammed[s] is a major task. There is aid and bountiful grace for someone who truly understands the prophet and follows its path. He attempts to teach people the roads to virtue and excellence in all of his works. He behaved well to people.   Anas bin Malik [r] was under his service for ten years he says “I served the prophet at Madeena. I was a boy. Every work that I did was not according to the desire of my master, but he never said to me, fie nor did he say to me, why you did you do this or why did you not do this. Prophet [s] says “You do not do evil to those who do evil to you but you deal with them with forgiveness and kindness”. He was not one who would abuse others or say obscene words or curse others.

Once prophet[s]said the most perfect believer in faith is the one who is the best moral character. The best of you are those who are the best to their spouses in manners”. He was that sort of good character. Ayisha[r] confirms that “he the prophet helped and assisted his family members with their chores, but when the call to prayer was heard he would stop everything and leave to attend the prayers”. She again states “Prophet[s] joined in household chores and would at times mend his clothes, repair his shoes and sweep the floor. He would milk, tether and feed his animals”.

He was the mercy, kind and humane to all subjects. When he faced troubles from his own people because of his propagation he wiped the blood from his face and said oh God, forgive my people, for they know not. He was the best in human beings, he was sent to the whole nations, to whole people, to whole subjects. He was dearest to Allah. Quran proclaims...

“Those who annoy Allah and His messenger, Allah have cursed them in this world and in the hereafter and have prepared for them a humiliating punishment”.

In short, the prophet Muhammed[s] was the unequalled soldier of age, a prince that astounds his time, one who calls the people to noble tasks, a mercy to all from Allah, Imam of piety and the right who was privy to the most amazing secrets, the secrets of Allah, His pure subject, the glory of God the law an religion.  We the Muslims have to love prophet[s] to be a true-blue Muslim. The love that express through the practices which he introduced. If you knew what prophet[s]did for you, you would fall in love with him. Prophet[s] says

“By Him in whose hands my life is, none of you will have faith till beloved me more than his father, his mother, his children and all the other people”.

Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images, the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and one spiritual empire, that is Muhammed Rasool. As regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than Prophet Muhammed Rasool. In contemporary times, we are facing some negative sentiments against prophet[s]. But, no cartoon or comic can blemish the noble prophet[s]. He is dear to millions of Muslims around the world who strive to emulate his perfect example in every way.
