Enmity

Between two hearts once bound by trust,

Now lies a field of ash and dust.

Words once soft as morning rain.

Turned to blades that carve through pain.

Eyes that met with warmth before,

Now glance away, forevermore.

The silence hums, a bitter tune.

Of friendship lost too soon...

Pride stands tall where love once grew.

Each wound reopened, old and new.

No victor crowned, no peace in sight

Just shadows dancing in the night...

Yet in the ruins, faint and small,

A whisper stirs beneath it all

That even hate, when time has flown,

May fade and leave two souls alone....
